Journal - What is the purpose of an infographic? What are the pros/cons of using infographics?  What type of information is best displayed in an infographic?  How can an infographic help convey your message to an audience?  How can you use infographics in other classes?

Infographics are a more subtle way of portraying important information that is easily read and understood- as well as fun to look at. The best thing about using infographics is that you can be very creative when using colors and graphics to portray information. However, this leads to the problem of either too little graphics or too many. Sometimes, Infographics can become overloaded with pictures and the information becomes secondary. the eye spends more time on a cute picture of a kitten than reading about animal homelessness. The best type of information found in an infographic is well... information.  Most infographics seen have alot of information, but instead of saying 3 out of 5 dentists recommend_____, you can have pictures of teeth and have three of them bigger or shinier than the rest. This gives the same information, but makes it memorable and fun. and also more likely to remember the given information. You can use infograhics for practically anything. However, they are best used for informative or instructional works.
